What we process and why

When you browse the site, the server may process technical request data such as your IP address, browser information, requested page and timestamp. This is needed to deliver and secure the website. Your language and consent choices are stored locally in your browser. Optional analytics is described separately below and remains blocked until you opt in.

When you send the contact form, we process the name, work email address, company, optional telephone number, project choices and message you provide. We use these details only to answer your request and, where relevant, take steps at your request before a possible agreement. A form submission does not subscribe you to marketing communications.

Contact form, retention and security

The form is sent over an encrypted connection to our own mail handler at glossybranding.com, hosted by our web-hosting provider, and forwarded to info@glossy.tv. The handler does not store the form contents in a database. To prevent abuse, a one-way hash derived from the sender's IP address and submission timestamps may be kept in temporary server storage for up to 15 minutes; it is not combined with the form contents.

The resulting email is kept only as long as necessary to follow up your request and meet applicable legal obligations. We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect information against loss, unauthorised access and alteration. Do not include passwords or confidential client information in the form.

Your rights and how to contact us

Depending on the situation, you may ask to access, correct, erase or restrict your personal data, object to processing or withdraw consent. To make a request or ask a privacy question, email info@glossy.tv or write to Ben Urbain BV, Uilkensstraat 97, 9000 Ghent, Belgium. We may ask for information needed to verify your identity.

You can also lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority.

Analytics and marketing

If you enable Analytics, this website loads Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-NPJVJ2CEFQ) to understand visits, page views, website performance, approximate location, device information and interactions. The Google tag remains completely blocked and sends no data before you opt in.

Advertising storage, advertising user data and advertising personalisation remain disabled. No advertising pixel or other marketing service is currently active. If you withdraw Analytics consent, further collection is disabled and the Google Analytics first-party cookies accessible to this website are removed. Google may process previously collected information under its privacy policy.

Cookie policy

This policy covers cookies, local browser storage and third-party services that can access information on your device. It explains what is currently used and how you can accept, refuse or change optional categories.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small pieces of data that a website asks your browser to store on your computer, laptop or mobile device when you visit a website or a certain page of that website. The cookie enables that website to remember your actions and preferences over time and to apply them during subsequent visits. An example of such a preference is your preferred language.

Cookies usually contain the name of the website from which the cookie came, how long the cookie will remain on your device (the expiration date) and a value which is usually a randomly generated unique number.

A distinction is made between strictly necessary cookies and other cookies. The strictly necessary cookies are needed for the proper functioning of the website, for example for its security and accessibility. Under applicable law, we are not obliged to ask for your consent for the use of such cookies. We will ask for your consent for each of the other categories.

Cookies can be divided into the following categories:

• Permanent and session cookies. A permanent cookie recognises the web browser on repeated visits to the website; a session cookie recognises the web browser during a single visit. Permanent cookies are saved on your device, whereas session cookies are deleted at the end of every session.
• First-party and third-party cookies. First-party cookies are placed by the website itself. Third-party cookies are placed by other websites; this happens when our website contains elements of other websites, such as social media plugins or advertisements.
• Performance and functional cookies. Performance cookies track how a visitor uses the website, which allows us to adapt and optimise its content and usability. Functional cookies remember your preferences, such as the language you chose, making the website more user friendly.

Cookies will not always contain personal data, but they can contain information that leads to your identification, in which case such a cookie is treated as personal data and this privacy policy applies.

Storage and services currently used

• glossy-lang (necessary local storage). Remembers the language you selected. It contains only en or nl and stays on your device until you clear the site's storage or choose another language.
• glossy.consent.v2 (necessary local storage). Records the categories you accepted or refused, the policy version and the decision date. It expires after no more than six months.
• _ga and _ga_* (Google Analytics, optional). Distinguish visitors and preserve session state after Analytics consent. Google documents a default lifetime of up to two years; browser restrictions or Analytics settings may shorten it.
• Embedded third-party players (optional). Some case pages contain an embedded Vimeo player. That player loads only when you enable “Embedded third-party players” in the cookie preferences. Vimeo may then process device and usage data under its privacy policy.
• Directly streamed video files. Background and project videos may load as video files without an embedded player. They are not controlled by the “Embedded third-party players” option and may still load when it is off. If a file is streamed from Vimeo, your browser still connects to Vimeo to retrieve the video.

The social icons in the footer are ordinary links, not embedded plugins. No LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook or X content is loaded until you choose to visit those services.

Managing and blocking cookies

On your first visit you can choose Accept all, Reject all or Manage preferences. Optional services remain blocked until you make an affirmative choice. You can review or withdraw that choice at any time through the Manage preferences button in the footer; refusing optional categories does not limit access to the rest of the website.
